A big little life update

Currently I'm prepping a post to share some of my recent YouTube lolita content (would love it if you subscribed wink wink) and when I checked my blog to see what I'd said about the tumultuous life events of 2025 I realised that at least here on the blog I'd said basically nothing. And in fact, two posts ago I mentioned my husband and then in the next one I mention my girlfriend which might seem a lil confusing lol. I know I don't owe anyone an explanation of what's going on in my life IRL but I want to at least give an abridged version.

At the end of 2024, with my husband James's full support and encouragement (I cannot emphasize how lovely he was about this!) I got myself onto a dating app. See, I realised I was bisexual once we were already married and while I was like "oh well, doesn't matter, don't need to explore that" his attitude was "well, maybe you should and I'm 100% fine with that". Several years later we were living in Tasmania and I finally felt like yeah, maybe I should.

In April, I matched with my now-girlfriend Maisie and we had our first date in May. I think you can guess how well that went ^__^

Maisie always has great nails ^__^

Then, completely unrelated, in July James and I decided to separate (we're currently still pending divorce due to compulsory waiting periods). We're still great friends, house-sharing until later this year, and overall it was as amicable as a breakup can be - there was no great drama, just a realization that it wasn't working any more and in hindsight hadn't been for a while.

So that was...a lot. Good things, bad things, all the things. While life has settled down for me now, I'm sure you can imagine how weird it was for a while. I love Maisie so much and I wouldn't change a thing if it meant not meeting her but it was a really strange time for me to transition a marriage into a friendship, and be mourning that whilst at the same time embarking on something new and wonderful.

In less impactful news, a huge project started dominating my time at my day job and I was also flown back to the mainland office twice in the end of 2025...and once already this year with some more on the books in the near future.

I was also in a play, so that was another big thing in the latter half of the year. And weirdly, in the face of everything else 2025 held it's a thing I keep forgetting even happened!

I loved getting back on stage!

And to top it off...in January this year my Facebook and Instagram were deactivated for reasons presumably related on me referring to lolita fashion as lolita fashion because, well, I don't post the kind of material that was supposedly why my account was deactivated. Ugh.

All in all, I've been busy. Many of my hobbies - including lolita - have taken a back seat while I've been getting myself sorted out.

I won't go into it, but for a while it felt like every week I was getting my mind blown by some realisation about myself, my values, my goals, my desires, my weaknesses, my strengths, just...me. It's still happening, just a little less frequent. I was already seeing a great counsellor which has helped a lot with clarifying all the chaos of my mind over the past year.

I feel like now I am really getting in touch with myself. I've been taking all the change and upheaval as an opportunity to actually stop and ask myself what I want to do, who I want to be, how I want my life to look. I'm grateful to have such a strong support network - including James and Maisie! - while I do this.

In terms of this blog, which has always been almost exclusively lolita-focused, I may actually come back to blogging a bit more in future. No promises, but I've missed writing - all kinds of writing, including this blog. I should be getting the last of my lolita wardrobe out of storage within the next few months, which will open up so many avenues for enjoying this hobby that I haven't had for years. I could do flatlays again!

A very old flatlay I still like.

So that's my life over the past year in a nutshell. It hasn't been easy but I've come out the other side feeling more me than I have in a long time. I'm not entirely sure what that'll mean for me as a (shudder) content creator but hey, the fun is in the journey ^__^

A decade (and two months) as a lolita

Recently, I realised that I've been a lolita for just over ten years! That realisation kind of blew my mind and I thought it'd make for an interesting YouTube video, so here it is!

I absolutely do not ahve the spoons to actually do a write up about this, so if you're interested in finding out about ym loltia journey please give it a watch.

Alternatively, everything I talk about there has been documented on this blog so if you feel like reading 10 years of posts that are mostly, but not entirely, about lolita well...good luck lol.

2021 Coords in Review

2021 saw me wearing lolita 27 times (this number does not include the times where I just dressed from the waist-up to film a YouTube video). So a bit over twice a month on average. After my 2020 bonanza it feels like a bit of a poor showing, but given that 2021 was a year in many, many ways (most of which I haven't talked about on this blog) I'm still quite pleased with myself.

Some of my favourite coords of the year.

So, total numbers aside, how did things look compared to 2020?

I'll admit I'm a little surprised to see that sweet dominated quite this much, but I suppose that's also because a bunch of my outfits toe the sweet-classic line.

For example, in the four outfits above I classified two as sweet and two as classic...but they're all very similar. I guess it's just that simple sweet (which sometimes tends to read a bit classic by virtue of simplicity) is my vibe. So when I see a graph saying I wore lots of sweet part of me goes "but there are no pastels, no stuffed toys, no giant twin tails" and kind of forgets that my style of sweet exists.

Interestingly, the graph of main piece colours is pretty darn similar to last year. Or, I suppose it's not that interesting. I fit the same pieces as in 2020, and even though I got rid of my handmade green skirt I bought Meta's Camellia Cat so I still had the same amount of green main pieces!

In 2021 I did not have a stand-out most popular main piece. Everything that fits was worn at least once, and I had three tied "favourites" at three wears apiece - Teddy Chocolatier, Shirring Princess, and my handmade cherry skirt. I am not surprised by any of that. ^__^

And last of all...my reasons for wearing lolita. Nothing too surprising here either, really. I feel like I wore lolita a lot for comfort reasons. As in, I had to wear proper clothes for whatever reason, and lolita was more comfortable for me than normie clothes. I know I say this every year, but I really am trying to finally drop some weight, so it'll be interesting to see if I find lolita more or less comfortable as more of my clothes - lolita and not - start to fit better...or fit at all.

Overall there's nothing particularly unusual in the data from 2021. However, I still like posting these reviews to see what I was up to and now that this is done... on to 2022!

2020 outfit summary - the great and terrible year

So, wow, 2020 huh? A shit year on so many levels - globally and personally - with some awesome highlights thrown in. But this post isn't for any of that, this post is to analyse how I wore lolita last year!

In 2020 I wore lolita 68 times, or an average of five and a half-ish times per month. This is absolutely a record for me, and it only happened because I ended up working from home since the end of March an decided to take advantage of that to wear lolita to work. My initial intention was to wear it every work day, which I promptly failed to do, but I still wore it for work a lot - 50 of those 68 outfits. During this time I also tried to wear all my main pieces in a roughly equal amount (at least for a while), so every main piece that currently fits was worn a minimum of three times (with the exception of some that fit, but are uncomfortable to wear for a full day, so they only got worn once).

Some of my favourite WFH looks.

So obviously, when we look at the reasons for wearing lolita in 2020, the biggest piece of the pie is for work. But even if we remove the 50 WFH outfits from the equation I'd have worn lolita 18 times this year, which is up from 2020 and not too shabby. And if 2020 had been a normal year, I'd probably have slipped in a few simple coords to work on a casual Friday so the count would have likely been in the low 20s. So I'm happy no matter what.

In terms of what I wore, as I mentioned earlier I tried to wear my main pieces equally for a good chunk of the year. However, I didn't stick to that for the whole year, and three dresses emerged as clear favourites with six coords each - BTSSB's Tartan Check, Meta's Rose Stripe Shirring and Meta's Teddy Chocolatier.

So my little graph of main pieces by colour isn't really all that insightful, it really just mirrors the main pieces that I won that currently fit. Still wanted to include it though, it's tradition! And I do like that, even though my variety was "forced" it happened ^__^

Speaking of variety, wearing lolita so much and trying to wear all my main pieces really got me experimenting. I wore pieces in new ways and really had a lot of fun with the fashion.

Three different outfits with this skirt, none of which I'd have thought of before this year.

Something I am very, very proud of is my first forays into wa lolita! While these outfits are far from perfect, it was so much fun to try out something very outside of my normal comfort zone, and to be able to do it pretty decently.

In terms of substyle, much like the colours of my main pieces this was fair strictly defined by the contents of my wardrobe rather than any choices I made, but once again, it's tradition, so I want to share the graph!

Overall, 2020 was an impressive year for me in lolita. Not only did I wear an awful lot of the fashion - more than the last three years combined - but I took another trip to Japan (where, of course, I bought things), started my YouTube channel, an even did my first twinning! While I really, really hope that 2021 calms down a whole lot and gets back to normal, I hope that I can keep up with being more enthusiastic about lolita fashion again.

Lolita Blog Carnival: Share Your New Years Resolutions For EGL Fashion

First of all - Merry Christmas! I hope you had a wonderful day, whether or not your celebrate it. I did - lots of food, chill, and online shopping ^__^

I thought a lot about what I want to achieve in lolita in 2020 and kept coming back to a very simple answer - I want to fit more of my clothes again. I'm currently four-five dress sizes larger than when I was a pretty fit human being, and three-four sizes larger than my average before that. Because I love my clothes, and because I don't want to be my current size forever, I now find myself in a position where I can only wear about a third of my lolita clothes.

And I am so sick of that!

I miss wearing this dress!

So my New Year's Resolution is to actually, properly, this-time-for-sure start losing weight in a healthy and sustainable way. The non-fitting segment of my lolita wardrobe is organised by size, and I would love to be able to fit into at least a third of what's there by the end of the year.

This isn't really the most interesting or exciting goal for anyone but me, and I won't give me anything to blog about, but it is what it is.

Do you have a lolita-related resolution for 2020?

What's In My Wardrobe - A Ramble

Recently I completed Raine Dragon's lolita buying habits survey and it made me think a bit about the make up of my wardrobe, how it has changed over the years, and what it says about me as a lolita.

The specific question was about the amount of main pieces in your wardrobe from various sources. I had to count, but it turns out I own 14 main pieces from Japanese brands, 9 from Bodyline, 1 from an indie brand, 4 handmade, and 2 custom-made by a designer who doesn't typically do lolita (so I don't count them as "indie")

And of those brand main pieces, 8 are Meta...

I was incredibly surprised to discover that almost half of my main pieces were brand, and I was curious to see how this ratio was in the rest of my wardrobe. So I went and counted my blouses and outerwear as well, though I didn't go into socks or accessories or shoes.

In terms of cutsews and blouses, I have 12 from Japanese brands (though not all lolita brands, this includes Axes Femme and similar brands), 6 from indie brands, 4 from Bodyline, and 2 offbrand options. In the outerwear category I have 15 items from Japanese brands, 1 indie, 1 handmade, 1 custom-made from Lyris Design, and 3 offbrand.

So in tops I have a little less than half from Japanese brands, and in outerwear I have around three-quarters brand. Which means that my wardrobe as a whole really is about a fifty-fifty split of Japanese brands vs other sources.

This really surprised me. I knew that over the past 5 years I have definitely been buying for brand items than when I started, but I didn't think that fully half my wardrobe was brand by now. And that realisation leaves me in a bit of an odd position when thinking about who I am in this subculture.

My latest haul - some new, some secondhand, some brand, some not.

See, I used to think of myself as a bit of a...not necessarily a budget lolita, but more of a "don't care about brand" lolita. And to an extent I think I still am - if it's nice and I like it, I like it regardless of source. However, knowing that my wardrobe is now just as much brand as not came as a surprise.

I bought my first brand in mid-2014 and since then my buying habits have skewed, slowly but surely, to more brand focus. Not exclusively, and I don't think it will ever be exclusive, but I certainly buy more brand than anything these days, though it's pretty much all secondhand.

While this was a bit of a shock to the system, I like that I am actually now more than ever living up to my intention of having a wardrobe full of things I like, regardless of source. There's nothing wrong with loving a particular brand and stocking your wardrobe with that brand and that brand only, but that's never been my preference.

I don't quite know how to wrap this up as it's probably the most rambly post I've done in a while and I don't really have a point to make. But it's interesting to look back at my loltia buying habits and wardrobe make-up and see trends that I wasn't aware of.

I'm on YouTube!

I mentioned a secret project in my first half of October outfits post, and yes, this was it...I've started a YouTube channel! It's something I've been thinking about for half a year or more and I finally decided to just do it! My first video, which is just a brief channel introduction, can be viewed by clicking the image below.

As I say in the video, at the moment my intentions are that the channel will probably be mostly focused on lolita, cosplay, and BTS on photoshoots. However, I'm into a lot of different stuff and I don't plan to limit myself or my content, so who knows what I'll end up with!

I'm 100% open to suggestions of what you'd like to see on my YouTube. I do have a list of ideas going but I'm always up for more ideas...my list will run dry eventually.

Also, here's a tiny preview of the second video I'll be uploading shortly!

I really hope you will like my YouTube content, and consider subscribing, sharing, and all that jazz. As I said, please drop any suggestions in the comments here and also feel free to drop links to your favourite YouTubers as well ^__^

I'm really excited to be embarking on a new creative venture and I've been having a lot of fun so far!

Lolita Blog Carnival: Why Is Lolita Fashion A Safe Space For You? How Do You Make It So For Your Community?

Now this is an interesting topic! Buckle up and prepare for some ramblings, because there will be ramblings ^__^

For myself, lolita fashion is safe because I participate purely on my own terms. It's a subculture that I can engage with on my own, online, or in person and I get to set my limitations there. Mostly I'm a lonelita, as they call it, as I'm not a hugely sociable person and I think I've been to...five meetups? Not many, that's for sure. I'm part of my local communities on Facebook, but tend to lurk rather than participate. I go on CGL sometimes but again, mostly a lurker. My most active community platform is this blog, and again this is a space where I am very much in control of what I'm doing and with what frequency and intensity.

So it is a safe space because it's on my terms. I'm not less of a lolita because I don't go to lots of meetups, and I am still engaged with the community in ways that I'm comfortable with on a much more regular basis.

The question of how do I make lolita fashion a safe space for my community is a little less simple to answer. On it's surface the answer is that I haven't really, and by that I mean I have not taken any action to make my community safer, more inclusive, or more welcoming. Luckily the Australian communities in general seem to be that way anyway, but this prompt is really making me think.

My first meetup ^__^

Anyone who knows me IRL knows that I personally do not really care about anyone's anything. If you're in trouble, I will sympathise and help how I can, and I try to be a good ally but on a personal level - you do you as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I know that as a straight, cis, white woman I'm pretty privileged to be able to be flippant about such things.

This topic has made me realise that I want to make my community a more openly safe space. By my community, I specifically mean the Newcastle Lolitas, since that's the community I moderate. Even though we really only have two active members, there are more in the group on Facebook, and after this pandemic is over I really want to start organise more for the comm. And before I do that I think I want to step up a little, and make it clear that that community is a safe space for all regardless of race, gender, orientation, religion, or anything else. Lolita is a joyful fashion that I think anyone should be able to participate in.

So I think I'm going to go off and edit the description of the comm I manage on Facebook to make these things clear ^__^

A Roli holiday

As I've mentioned, I've got a holiday to Japan coming up. As a matter of fact, since this is a schedule post, I'm already there. I didn't have a chance to schedule any posts (other than this) to go up while I'm gone, so this blog will be quiet again for a little while, but then I'll be back with lots of exciting travel and hopefully lolita haul posts!

Part of my last Tokyo lolita haul!

So just a very short post to let you all know where I am and I'll most likely see you again in March ^__^

2019 in lolita coordinates

A little belated but nevertheless fun to write, here's some thoughts (and graphs, as usual) about my lolita outfits in 2019. It's a tradition now, dammit!

I actually had a few more coords in the year than I thought I did for a total of 12. Not great, but given how 2019 was as a year for me I'm okay with that. Two of the coords were worn in Tokyo, one was for a photoshoot, and the rest for various everyday occasions. I did not go to any lolita meets in 2019.

Despite the low total number, I still wanted to do my usual analysis of colours and styles. And I loved what I discovered, because 2019 was a colourful year!

Can you believe that I wore green main pieces just as much as I wore black ones? And there was no brown? I'm struggling to believe it and I have photographic evidence!

It made me so happy to realise that I achieved a lot of variety in the colours of my coords last year. Not that I haven't always had a decent range of colours in my wardrobe but still, this felt good.

In terms of substyles, I also found that I was definitely leaning more sweet this year, which I think suits how my lolita style is shifting in general. I still love classic, don't get me wrong, and I'd never want a wholly sweet wardrobe but sweet is just fun and cute and me.

In fact, out of my classic outfits I only consider the one below to be "properly" classic lolita, as the others are pretty casual. Still classic, if I had to pick a substyle, but not typically classic lolita.

Classic is the best for artsy photoshoots!

With a drastically decreased coord count from 2018, there's actually not much more for me to say about my 2019 outfits. I'm happy with them, and am glad to look back and realised that I did still average wearing lolita once a month over the year.

I'm not going to set any goals for 2020 as I'm still struggling a bit with lingering burnout but I'm getting excited about lolita again, and am keen to see where this year takes me in this awesome fashion.

Lolita Sales

As I mentioned in my coming out of hiatus post, I have done a very big clear out of my lolita wardrobe recently. Therefore I have lots of items in search of loving homes!

So this post is just a brief promotion of my gigantic sales album on Facebook, which also contains a lot more than just lolita, just so you know. Contact me there if there’s anything you’re keen on buying and know that I’m happy to take offers ^__^

And because a blog post if boring without pictures, here’s a few of the pretty things I’m parting ways with…

Yes, I even reduced my OTK collection!

And Wonder Party deserves a new home where it'll be worn and loved ^__^

Oh! And we are also selling off the last of the Wonderpunk Jurassic Party fabric so if you loved the cute little dinosaurs but didn’t get one of our skirts, now’s your chance to make whatever you want with this adorable print!

I’m back, everybody!

Whew, that was a bit of a break. As usual when I return from a hiatus I just wanted to give a bit of an update, both a personal one and a lolita one.

On the personal note it’s pretty simple - 2019 burnt me out. I’m kind of appalled that I’m almost thirty, and can still manage to somehow spend an entire year chasing all the wrong things and running myself into the ground. On the one hand it was a great year and I did lots of amazing things. On the other...it just sucked and by the end I was just ready to give up on everything. I’m mostly back to normal now, but that took months. It was just a stupid year on a number of levels, but I learned from it and have started 2020 with a lot of self-reflection that will hopefully stand me in good stead.

The toughest thing is of being burnt out is that it made me stop loving some of the big things that I really do love in life, mostly lolita and modelling. I just stopped both and felt really uncomfortable with their absence in my life. But I knew that I couldn’t force myself back into either, or the temporary burnout might become a permanent quit. It sucked.

But now I’ve taken some time and am ready to come back swinging at this blog (and wearing lolita again...at least when it's not so damn hot!). There’s a few things that are going to change. I’m going to stop the monthly blog roundup posts - they’re no longer fun to do and I feel like I’m just featuring the same blogs most of the time. I may do a new blog alert when I discover a new lolita blogger but who knows, I’m not going to commit to anything. I may also post less frequently, as I am feeling that I’m just rehashing a lot nowadays. That could be lingering burnout talking or it could be a real feeling - either way I’m just going to take it easy for a bit.

I really missed blogging here (I’ve been sporadically active on Medium but it’s not the same) so I’m glad to be back. I missed lolita and I’m so happy to have started getting my mojo back.

On a kinda personal and somewhat lolita note - I’m going to Japan again! James and I along with two friends will spend two weeks in Japan in February, and it's gonna be amazing. I will totally be blogging about it! We are on a slimmer budget this time so I’m not planning on doing loads of shopping but I’m keen to ramble about everything that we do, see, eat, and yes, buy.

Lastly, on a very purely lolita note which I may end up blogging more about, I did a very big purge of my lolita wardrobe. At the end of it I’ve still got a very decently sized collection with 29 main pieces, but I did get rid of a lot of what you may consider more noteworthy items, like Dramatic Rose and my newly acquired Millefeuille bolero.

I really forced myself to be harsh this time around. If there was no love, it went, even if it was a staple piece my wardrobe needs, like a white blouse. I’ll get a better one later. If it was way too small, it went, because I may lose weight but I can’t guarantee I’ll ever get that tiny. This purge was prompted by a desire for more spending yen in Japan, but it had the great benefit of really making me fall back in love with my wardrobe. Sure, it's got some odd gaps now and I did say goodbye to some pieces that I think are gorgeous but it’s better for me now. Everything suits my style more, and even though I’ve kept some things that are smaller than I currently am, I haven’t kept things that aren’t a size I have been in the past. I’m so much happier with it, and really want to be super ultra selective with new wardrobe additions.

On a wardrobe note, I’m not going to do a wardrobe post again this January. However, I’m actually quite keen to do one when I get back from Japan. I probably won’t post to LiveJournal, just here. Even though it was a good choice for me not to do a post in 2019, I’ve really felt the absence of having that as a reference point, so I definitely do want to do one! I’m just not putting any time pressure on myself.

So that’s where I’ve been at the past few months! I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years, and I’m looking forward to 2020 in lolita.

Hiatus again

Hey readers, once again life has brought me to a point where I need to take a little break from this blog. Unlike my last break, I won't be posting the monthly blogpost roundups or outfit posts.

This is kind of a very useless post, because I don't really have much to say, but just didn't want to disappear for a while without saying a temporary fare-thee-well.

Tokyo 2019 Day 7: Shoes, Shinjuku Gyoen and heading home

We woke up on Monday with mixed feelings - it was our last day in Tokyo. We were sad, because the adventure was ending. But we were happy, because we like being home and due to the bad start with the overnight flights and not truly realising how much we'd be walking during the trip, we were quite run down by this point.

We went downstairs for our last breakfast then returned to our room to pack. We ended up having to leave some things behind - be we had planned for this potentially being a thing so had deliberately packed some clothing items (and even a laptop, long story) that we could just leave behind.

I have a note that somewhere here I said "ready to squirt" (in the voice of a Warcraft 3 peon "ready to work") and James responded by sighing like Kif. I don't know why this was said, or what I meant. It's a mystery...

Anyhoo, we finished packing up and went downstairs to checkout of the hotel. We were able to leave our luggage behind, so we went out to enjoy our final day in Tokyo. Our destination? Nakano Broadway!

But first, we took so photos in front of the hotel!

At Shinjuku Station we had to recharge our Pasmo cards, which was easy to do at the machine, and then had to wait five whole minutes for our train - the longest we had to wait for a train all trip! I took some photos around the station since it was hitting home pretty hard that the adventure was coming to an end.

The train ride was uneventful and soon enough we got off at Nakano Station. After a quick bathroom break we walked into the Nakano Sun Mall towards Nakano Broadway. We peeked into a few stores, but didn't stop to browse at all.

And when we entered Nakano Broadway itself, we did pretty much the same thing. We didn't really go into many shops, because after everything in Akihabara the shops with all the figures and other random merchandise were less exciting. We're not really collectors, so I think we're just not the target market.

However, we did make a really awesome discovery - Dragonbeard shoes! This shop has super stylish sneakers at really good prices, and after lots of trying and discussing options James bought two pairs. Even though I definitely bought the most stuff, I was really happy that James found some awesome things in Tokyo as well ^__^

James also found this My Hero Academia game!

Then we went back into Sun Mall so I could grab a burger from Lotteria for lunch - I wanted to try a Japanese burger and James wasn't hungry, so I could have whatever I wanted! It was nice, but nothing to write home about.

James liked the chairs!

We did go back into Nakano Broadway after lunch, but quickly realised we weren't interested in browsing more, and decided to head back to Shinjuku. We did, however, pop into a pet store in Sun Mall on the way back to the station, where we saw this super adorable kitten!

We actually got off the train at Sendagaya Station, as we'd decided to spend a bit of the time we had left in Shinjuku Gyoen. We walked the little ways to the garden entrance, bought our tickets from the machine, and entered. We got lucky in our choice of gate, because we entered right at the cherry blossom section. And even though the blossoms were definitely past their prime, they were still lovely.

After we took a bunch of photos of the flowers and each other, we sat on a park bench for a while and just relaxed. It was really nice and very restorative. We watched the flower petals fall and just...sat.

I used the panorama function on my phone for the first time here.

We did wander through a bit more of the garden after our pleasant half-hour sit, but were a bit too tired to get as much enjoyment out of it as the wonderful gardens deserved. We did notice a fellow Westerner sitting over the fence that clearly had a sign saying "don't go over this fence" and were able (with the aid of Google Translate) to report him to a staff member. Then we left the garden and headed back to our hotel.

I don't remember exactly what order we did things in, but we got a massage at the hotel spa and repacked out suitcases a little (had to squeeze those shoes in!). I fell asleep during my massage, which is something I never thought would be a thing. It was so good!

Goodbye, hotel lobby robot.

And then a little after 6 it was off to the bus terminal to buy tickets and catch the Airport Limousine Bus back to Narita Airport. We were happy and sad to be going, but honestly I was mostly just very tired.

At the airport we checked in and handed off our luggage, then found a restaurant to have dinner in. I had katsu curry, which was nice, but James made the superior food decision of some amazing garlicky fried rice with steak dish. He often makes better food picks than me when we're travelling!

Then soon enough it was time to board our plane. We had good seats this time - the first two seater towards the back of the plane after the three seaters, which meant we basically had a seat worth of space between us and the window, which made things a lot less cramped. The flight was uneventful, we both slept a bit more than on the flight in, but we were still quite exhausted when we landed.

Yes, I still take photos of airplane food ^__^

Land we did at 8.15AM on Tuesday morning! Clearing customs and getting our luggage was a quick affair, then we reclaimed our car and James drove us home. I like my home!

Tokyo was an amazing, but completely overwhelming experience. To be honest, I spent a lot of time being stressed and anxious and worried but at the same time it was quite an amazing and surreal experience. It was my first time ever in a non English speaking country, first time taking a flight longer than three hours, and like with any first time I learned a lot from it. We've already got plans to go back and I'm really looking forward to spending more time in such an amazing country with more knowledge and better plans!

I hope you enjoyed reading my Tokyo posts...and now we can go back to your regularly scheduled loltia fashion content ^__^
