Coordinates from January - June 2026

As of the start of 2026 I've been documenting my coordinates far more thoroughly. If you're subscribed on my YouTube you'll know I'm getting all of my lolita clothes out of storage and doing an absolutely massive overhaul and rebuild so my wardrobe is more functional for who I am now, and as part of that I'm keeping track of what I wear - even if it's just a waist-up coord to film a YouTube video.

However, for the purposes of this blog I'm only photographing and sharing the coords I actually wear to actually do things in. I know that's a lot of explanation that probably no-one cares about but me but hey! I care!

For those who don't, however, here's my coords for the first half of the year.

JSK: Metamorphose temps de fille Teddy Chocolatier
Cutsew & Socks: Handmade
Wristcuffs: Angelic Pretty
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

I wore this coordinate to do some YouTube filming. I don't remember why I made it a proper full coord rather than my usual "waist-up" that I do for filming, but I did. However, I did also forget to get a full body shot ^__^

Then my first full "leaving the house" coord of 2026 was for an alt fashion and cosplay craft picnic event (yes, lots of things all at once) held in my town. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a fun time and I made a local lolita friend! So fingers crossed I can actually start participating in a local community again...the downside of Tasmania being so sparsely populated is that every meet that's been held has been in Hobart. Which a 3.5 hours drive away from me. I may do it one day, but definitely not with any regularity!

I'd actually had a version of this coordinate laid out for a while as my next "proper" coord. I ended up fiddling with the accessories a bit with some feedback from Maisie and really liked it in the end! This was also the first time Maisie has seen me in lolita IRL and she liked it ^__^

JSK: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Tartan Check
Cutsew: Sleepyland Shop
Shoes: Bodyline
Wristcuffs: Angelic Pretty
Everything else: Offbrand/handmade

This coord turned out basically exactly how I pictured it, which is nice! I'm not sure if it's the most flattering colour combo on me, but it was bright and fun and cute, which is what I was going for.

Next I wore a simple coord to go grocery shopping. Not pictured was the inclusion of my little white offbrand heart shaped handbag. I love cute bags in lolita!

Skirt, Headbow & Cutsew: Handmade
OTKS: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Shoes: Bodyline
Necklace: Offbrand

Not much to say about this coordinate, except it was nice to wear my handmade cherry skirt again!

And that's me in lolita for the first half of 2026! It's been great to get back into wearing frill more often again and I hope to continue it into the latter half of the year...though the latter half of the year also involves such things as moving house and changing jobs so we'll see how it goes ^__^

Coordinates from March - June 2022

So, uh, yeah...2022 is apparently a quiet year on the lolita front. But it's been a great year for me on so many others, so I'm trying to make peace with the fact that right now, lolita is a lower priority hobby for me. I'm not leaving lolita or anything like that, but at the moment, my hobby spoons are going towards other things.

Also, April in particular was just ~fucked~ so that didn't help lol.

So my first coord in this posts comes from early May. I dressed up as I needed to run errands in my lunchbreak (this was my last week of full time working from home) and I wanted for film a YouTube video after work. It's a pretty simple coord, but I liked it and it felt very "me".

JSK: Metamorphose temps de fille Rose Stripe Shirring
Bolero: Maxicimam
OTKS: Innocent World
Shoes: Bodyline
Hairclips: Offbrand

Also, I was very happy because James was super complimentary about this coord. Always nice to get husband compliments! He also said I should buy this bolero in other colours...

My next coord came the following week, worn just to WFH. I did end up running errands at lunch as well, but it was nice to dress up with the intention to just stay home. I also busted out some fawn fur, so all in all this coord felt very nostalgic.

Skirt: Metamorphose temps de fille Flower Bottle
Blouse: Glitter Tale
Haori: Vintage
OTKS: Metamorphose temps de fille
Shoes: Bodyline
Beret: Peacockalorum
Flower clip: Sweet Dreamer
Wristcuffs: Angelic Pretty

Next I wore - you guessed it - another coord to WFH in. This was the week where I transitioned from full-time WFH to a hybrid, and I was shocked by now much better I felt getting back into the office routine. So that inspired me to try harder when WFH, hence the coord. But it was a cold day, so I did get changed into something more comfy and cozy - though still not PJs! - before lunch ^__^

Skirt & Headbow: Handmade
OTKS: Metamorphose temps de fille
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand

Aaaaaand that's it for this time period lol. Both my personal life and day job got absolutely insane from mid-May onwards...and look to continue that way until at least the end of July. But oh well, tis what tis and I hope you liked seeing these three coords ^__^

Coordinates from December 2021

Farewell 2021! You were fine, I guess. Tumultuous. Weird. But you definitely had upsides too.

But we're not here for reflective musings, we're here for coords!

First coord of the month was worn to my work Christmas party - it's tradition, dammit. This year, we were asked to dress in Aussie colours or themes so I wore my red dress with some blue and white since the Aussie flag is red/white/blue (like lots of countries, so boring lol).

OP: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Tartan Check
Socks: Angelic Pretty
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand

I genuinely loved this look, it was not something I'd have just come up with on my own without trying to match the colour scheme but I am really happy with how it turned out.

I next wore lolita on a WFH day because James had a photoshoot, so I couldn't stay in my PJs with a model in the house! I hadn't planned on doing lolita, but I was having trouble finding a pair of comfortable pants and realised that I'd be more comfy in lolita than my jeans!

OP: Metamorphose temps de fille Camellia Cat
Socks & Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

It was a cute coord and I was happy to wear it, unplanned as it was.

Then my next coord was once again, quite unplanned. We were visiting a friend who's back in the country for a few months (and getting to meet her cute baby girl!) and I could not find my comfy pants, so again, went with a quick lolita coord. The base of this is a combo I wore in November but like, who cares, lol.

Skirt: Handmade
Everything else: Offbrand

You could also argue this isn't really lolita, but as usual - my blog, my rules, and I say it's lolita enough.

And that was my December in lolita fashion...unexpectedly more fashionable that I would have thought. As usual I'll be posting a bit of a "year in review" post shortly, so look forward to that!

Coordinates from November 2021

Another quiet month but as usual, no apologies. I've been busy and the weather has been heating up, ugh.

My first coord came a third of the way through the month, and was just a casual work from home look. Truth be told, I only dressed up because James was bringing an old friend over to hang out and so I needed to get out of my PJs! But still, a cute and comfy coord, so I'm happy. I did end up doing a quick run to the grocery store after work, and I always like doing that in lolita!

Skirt & Wristcuffs: Handmade
Cutsew, Beret & Cherry Clip: Offbrand
Socks & Shoes: Bodyline

The following week I wore lolita to WFH for very similar reasons. I thought I was going to run errands in my lunchbreak (but James ended up doing it for me, isn't he lovely?) and we had a tradie coming over in the morning, and I was visiting a friend after work,. Meaning I had to wear respectable clothing anyway, so why not lolita?

Excuse the blown-out doorway impacting my photo, we're getting into the eye-searing half of the year over here.

Skirt: Victorian Maiden
Bow Clips: Me Likes Tea
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

I actually chose this outfit because I wanted to wear the new sailor top I picked up from Dangerfield. I deliberately bought it to go with lolita, and I consider it's first outing a success!

So that's it for November. Like I say, quiet, but there's nothing wrong with quiet. How was your month, in lolita and in life in general?

Coordinates from April 2021

I'll admit - the fact that April is already over is...disconcerting, to say the least. But I suppose that's just the passage of time for you!

I had the first week of April off work, and was really happy because James said "there's this cool yellow bush in flower, want to shoot?" and when I ran some concepts by him he wanted to go with the lolita option! In the end this coord was super way off where we started, inspiration-wise (it was going to be a classic floral wa lolita thing!) but still super cute. And by taking all his feedback on board it's also a bit different from what I'd normally do, mostly in terms of the wig. But I like it!

OP, Headbow & Necklace: Lady Sloth Verrrry Berry Picnic
Shoes & Wig: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao/Handmade

Full photoshoot will be on my Facebook page (this is just an unedited shot to show off the outfit) and you can also see a second look that we shot in the pretty bush on there too.

At the end of that week on the Saturday we ran some errands and hung out with some friends to roll up characters for a new D&D round robin thing we're doing. I'm a total noob to tabletop gaming (two one shots and a few sessions of an abandoned campaign so far) but I'm pretty keen to be doing this. But anyway, I decided that super-casual lolita was more comfy than jeans, so that's what I wore.

Skirt: Handmade
Vest: W <3 C
Star Clip: Yokai Candy
Everything else: Offbrand

I mean, technically you could argue that this isn't even lolita, and I wouldn't argue back. But I approached it as a lolita coord, so I'm counting it, even if I didn't wear a petticoat or cover my upper arms and I chose my colours entirely to match my sneakers.

I also got a really nice compliment from the girl at the checkout at the pet shop, she said she liked my whole aesthetic. I liked it too, TBH! It felt very me.

And then...I didn't wear lolita for the rest of the month. We were very busy with photoshoots, and I went from doing an 8-day to a 9-day fortnight at work and let me tell you, not getting a long weekend every weekend after a whole year of it is a bit of a shock to the system! But I'm happy with these outfits and even though I'm busy, life is good ^__^

Coordinates from February 2021

February was another "quiet" month in lolita terms. Compared to 2020? Pffft it was nothing! Compared to my previous and likely future lolita habits? Perfectly normal ^__^

I first wore lolita to my counselling appointment. I enjoyed pairing this skirt with more white - usually I pick out pink from the print but I decided to keep it more neutral for once.

Skirt & Shoes: Bodyline
Cutsew, Headbow & Bracelet: Angelic Pretty
Everything else: Offbrand

I busted out lolita again on Valentine's Day...but not because it was Valentine's Day but because I was assisting James on a photoshoot and decided if I had to wear clothes I'd wear fun clothes! Super casual outfit, but I really liked it!

Skirt: Handmade
Socks: Angelic Pretty
Bag: Coquettish Tiara
Everything else: Offbrand

Also, enjoy this bonus shot of me reacting to a gust of wind while James was taking my picture ^__^

My last outfit for February was once again worn to counselling, with a bit of errand-running beforehand. This coord was kind of inspired by one I put together for AYWI30C, though it ended up pretty different the concept is the same.

JSK: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Shirring Princess
Cutsew & Headbow: Angelic Pretty
Socks: Metamorphose temps de fille
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

You can't see it in the photo, but these socks have strawberries going up the back! Combined with the bustle back made me feel pretty awesome...it was a party back there!

So that was my February in lolita fashion. Nothing groundbreaking but fun nevertheless ^__^

Coordinates from January 2021

I was honestly expecting January to be a very quiet month on the lolita front given that I return to working in the office and didn't start the month with anything much planned. But life, and lolita, finds a way!

My first coord in January was worn for our 10-year anniversary lunch. James and I went to the restaurant where we decided to get engaged, which was on our 7-year anniversary. I wanted to wear lolita, and I wanted it to be an outfit where I could showcase the wonderful necklace he had made (by the same jewellers who did our wedding rings) for me for this anniversary which features a piece of paua shell he found the day before our wedding. So I went with a very simple outfit all in black, and I really love how it turned out!

Skirt: Victorian Maiden
Cutsew: The Black Ribbon
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

On my first day off after my first week back at work James and I ran some errands and did a bit of op-shopping, and I unexpectedly felt like wearing lolita...so I did! My inspiration for this outfit was that was would be wearing my pink face mask into the shops, so I wanted a coord that would match it well enough ^__^

JSK: Metamorphose temp de fille Teddy Chocolatier
Blouse & Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

James took these shots for me on our way to the shops - we've driven past this "imagine" sign many times but never stopped. It was windy but fun!

On 20 January, which incidentally is James’s birthday, the two of us went to an event by the local Council. It turned out to be a rather shitty experience, but I did wear a simple coord (and braided James’s hair, which looked super adorable) so that was something.

Skirt & Headbow: Handmade
Cutsew: The Black Ribbon
Shoes: Bodyline
Socks: Offbrand

So for my first month back to "normal life" three coords in genuinely not bad! Let's see how the rest of the year pans out ^__^

Coordinates from November 2020

November was a quiet month in terms of wearing lolita. I did shoot a bunch of content for YouTube...but since I only ever got dressed from the waist up in lolita for those, I decided they don't really count as outfits. My coord count would be higher if I included them, but oh well, quality over quantity!

My first November coord was for a counselling appointment, and as it was a hot day I kept things really quite simple. But it was nice to dress up nevertheless!

JSK: Metamophose temps de fille Rose Stripe Shirring
Bolero: Lady Sloth
Socks: Angelic Pretty
Shoes: Bodyline
Flower: Offbrand

The following week I decided I really wanted to hit life hard, so started the week off wearing lolita to work from home. A super simple and casual outfit, because it was still hot, but still! Dressing up for work does motivate me for work and for life in general.

Skirt: Handmade
Everything else: Offbrand

The hot theme continued on and off for the month, so I didn't wear lolita much. November was just kind of a massive blur overall. However, on one 41 degree (105 in freedom units) day James and I went to some our friend's place for dinner and I decided to wear a simple coord since I was going to melt no matter what. I did forgo the petticoat though...there are limits!

JSK: Metamorphose temp de fille Teddy Chocolatier
Bolero: Lady Sloth
Shoes: Bodyline
Bag: Coquettish Tiara
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

Sunday evening of that weekend brought with it a proper cool change, so I wore lolita to work from home on Monday. I also filmed a YouTube video in my lunch break in this, though I did forget to put on make-up...oh well!

JSK & Collar: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Socks: Innocent World
Shoes: Bodyline
Headbow: Angelic Pretty
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

And alas, my shoes started breaking this day. I've got no standards, so I'll probably wear them until they fully break, but I don't think that'll be too long coming...

So that was it for November! Not many coords, though I'm still amazed that 2020 has skewed my perspective so that wearing the fashion four times in a month is "not many". As the weather gets hotter and I transition back to working in the office I'm probably going to wear the fashion even less over the next few months, but I've learned never to make predictions so we'll just see how the last month of the year goes for me and lolita.

Sunday, 1 November 2020

Coordinates from 16 - 31 October 2020

Picking up from right where we left off in the first half of October round up, the next day I wore a really fun casual lolita outfit for my counselling appointment. The starting point for this look was the ACDC Rag hoodie and I really, really love the result, it's so me and so fun!

Skirt: Handmade
Hoodies: ACDC Rag
Socks: Bodyline
Shoes: Yosuke

And then I wore lolita briefly the next day too! Three days in a row hasn't happen for a little while, so it was rather fun ^__^

JSK: Metamorphose temps de fille Teddy Chocolatier
Bolero: Lady Sloth
Socks & Shoes: Bodyline
Headbow & Necklace: Angelic Pretty
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

There's nothing terribly exciting about this coord, but I always enjoy Teddy Chocolatier. This was worn to film my YouTube channel intro so please check it out! Also, I wore make-up so have a selfie ^__^

The following Tuesday I wore lolita to work from home and went for something casual and cute. I loved it!

Skirt & Bow: Metamorphose temps de fille
Shirt: Listen Flavour
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

On this day James also did his first Halloween shoot of the year, and I absolutely love the pumpkin he carved! So also have a selfie with my new orange friend ^__^

Also, check out his page The Enthusiast to see all the absolutely amazing stuff he did for Halloween this year!

Exactly a week later I wore lolita to WFH again. The weather turned cold again and honestly it was a great "stay in PJs" day but I had a Zoom meeting, so work-safe lolita it was! I also assisted with a Halloween shoot and went to Officeworks after work in this look so it got around!

Skirt: Handmade
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand

The next day I was going to assist with another Halloween shoot after work and needed to duck out during my lunchbreak, so figured why not wear lolita?

JSK: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Shirring Princess
Bolero: Maxicimam Lovely
Socks & Jewellery: Angelic Pretty
Shoes: Bodyline
Headbow: Metamorphose temps de fille
Everything else: Offbrand

Buuuuut in reality, I wore this outfit for about twenty minutes only for the stupidest reason. We have a sword hanging in out hallway...

And guess who somehow pulled the sword off the wall with her dress and hit her leg with it? This gal! So I was freaked out and bleeding a little and just wanted to be comfy after that, so off came the outfit! Oh well, it's the thought that counts and now I can add "have been wounded by a sword" to my list of bizarre life achievements!

Then I wore lolita to my counselling appointment on the Friday. Not much to say about this one except it was cute! I also visited my mum after my appointment and she said I looked beautiful, thanks mum ^__^

JSK: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Tartan Check
Bolero: Maxicimam Lovely
Socks: Handmade
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

And to top the month off, for Halloween I pulled together a quick maid look, because I wanted a simple and comfortable costume. We had our favourite other couple over for the evening and handed out candy to the neighbourhood kids. We ate pumpkin soup, played Blockus, and just hung out. It was good, and an excellent way to end the month!

JSK: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Shirring Princess
Bolero: Peace Now
Apron: Marble
Socks: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

I also want to share a selfie of this look, since I really liked the subtle cookie these I had going on.

So that was the latter half of October! It's been a hectic month, but a good one, and I'm keen to see where November takes me, in lolita and in life ^__^

Wednesday, 21 October 2020

Coordinates from 1-15 October 2020

Can you believe it? I've been wearing lolita enough this month that it's time for a half-month coord round up! That makes me very happy so let's get right to it ^__^

On October 1st I had a Zoom staff meeting, so needed to be work appropriate from the waist up. For a while I've been wondering how this work top of mine would look with my Victorian Maiden skirt so I figured this was as good an opportunity as any to give it a shot. In the end, this outfit isn't necessarily lolita (no petticoat, gasp), but it's my blog so I'm counting it!

Skirt: Victorian Maiden
OTKS: Innocent World
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand

I am actually really happy with how this outfit turned out! Like, I wouldn't wear it for a meetup but I think overall that this shirt and skirt combo did work out nicely enough for a "work lolita" look.

I wore lolita again to my counselling appointment the next day. I'd actually had a version of this outfit pulled out since the previous weekend but hadn't worn it, so this was a good opportunity! The weather turned quite warm though, so I did switch up the choice of outerwear and legwear. I loved this outfit and felt super cute wearing it.

JSK: Metamorphose temps de fille Teddy Chocolatier
Bolero: Peace Now
Shoes: Bodyline
Bear Ears: Maidreamin
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

I took a few days off until Wednesday the following week, where I threw on a coord for all of two hours for a currently secret project. I was struggling to take a coord shot on my own that didn't show too much leg and where my stockings weren't rolling down, and in the end settled for a cramped mirror selfie in my wardrobe. I'm all class ^__^

JSK: Metamorphose temps de fille Rose Stripe Shirring
Bolero: Maxicimam
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

Then I felt like it was an eternity until I wore lolita again, but really it was just over a week til I wore another WFH outfit. What I found really odd is that as I was flicking through my wardrobe to pick what to wear, I actually really wanted to wear my handmade green floral skirt! Yes, the one that I'm always contemplating getting rid of since it's kind of boring. Weird. But I'm not complaining (though I'm taking this as a sign I should stop complaining about this skirt)...

Skirt: Handmade
Cutsew: The Black Ribbon
Shoes: Bodyline
Wristcuffs: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright

So that's the first half of October in coordinates! It's been a good month and just keeps on going ^__^

Thursday, 1 October 2020

Coordinates from August - September 2020

I tried to start August on the right foot, lolita-wise, but on the first Monday of the month I realised the sleeves of the cutsew I'd chosen to wear were too tight for comfort, and the night-time dew meant that my freshly washed petticoat was still damp, so I gave up. And honestly, that set the tone for August, and I didn't end up wearing lolita until the end of the month.

But that's okay. I've recently started trying really hard to life and mental health into a better position, and part of that is not forcing myself to do thing just because I feel like I should. So I'm only wearing lolita when it makes me happy, not because I decided months ago that wearing lolita to work from home was a good idea. It's not a bad idea, but I'm not going to force it. It's got to bring me joy and not just be a thing that I do.

So my first lolita outfit was worn to run an errand and go to an appointment on the last Friday of the month. And for my outfit photo I asked James to snap me on our awesome new couch!

OP & Headbow: Lady Sloth Verrry Berry Picnic
OTKS: Metamorphose temps de fille
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

The outfit isn't much to write home about, but it felt good to wear lolita again. I also happened to have a pretty decently matching mask from Pastel Poisons which I wore while interacting with people, so I grabbed a selfie in that too ^__^

Then it was September, I got my "July" haul in and was really excited to wear some of my new things...so I did the very next day for working from home!

Skirt: Metamorphose temps de fille
Cutsew: The Black Ribbon
Bolero: Maxicimam
OTKS, Necklace & Bracelet: Angelic Pretty
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

I still have so much love for Patisserie Dream, it's such a perfect print to me. But most of all...OMG this new bolero is perfect! Seriously, if you're plus-size I really, really recommend Maxicimam. This is my new favourite item of lolita outwear, it's so comfy and warm and looks really good.

A week and a bit passed before I felt the lolita urge again. I almost didn't wear the outfit I'd pulled out the night before, but since I had a tiny Zoom meeting with my awesomely nerdy coworker, I decided I actually get dressed rather than repping the PJs. And I'm happy I did, because I really liked this outfit!

Skirt: Wonderpunk Jurassic Party
Cutsew: Mary Rose
Socks: Angelic Pretty
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Handmade

Jurassic Party is a challenging piece for me since I don't really have much lavender or purple in my wardrobe, but this year I've managed to wear it a few different ways so I'm happy ^__^

I was starting to get more back into the lolita vibe, so the next Monday I wore a coord to work from home in again. Nothing really noteworthy about this one (except my discovery that this dress won't fit my new petticoat) but that's okay.

OP: Metamorphose temps de fille Berry Stripe
Cutsew: Mary Rose
Socks: Jane Marple
Shoes: Bodyline
Necklace: Lady Sloth
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

Then it was Thursday and I dressed up again to work from home. And I discovered another piece that won't take my big petticoat - my handmade green skirt.

Skirt & Headbow: Handmade
Cutsew: Axes Femme
OTKS: Innocent World
Shoes: Bodyline
Everything else: Offbrand/Taobao

I actually really enjoyed wearing this coord, because it felt like the first time I've done something unique with this skirt! That's not actually true at all, but it is the first time I've worn a different top than my Black Ribbon cutsew with it ^__^

However...I am seriously thinking of parting with this skirt. I've mentioned before that it doesn't excite me, and it still doesn't really. The shape is also a bit awkward. But I get very sad when I think about selling it! Decisions, decisions...

The next day, Friday, I wore lolita to my weekly counselling appointment. Afterwards a friend came to our house and I got lots of compliments ^__^

Skirt & Headbow: Handmade
Cutsew: The Black Ribbon
Cardigan: Banned
Shoes & Socks: Bodyline
Bag: Angelic Pretty
Everything else: Offbrand

With that coord, I have worn every main piece that fits me at least three times this year. Wow! I'm really happy with how much I've worn lolita this year, even if I've abandoned my original goal of daily wear while working from home. Changing goals is okay! I've been keeping a running list of what order I wore things in so my main pieces get somewhat equal wear, but I think from here on I'm just going to wear what I feel like for a while ^__^

And that's all for August and September! I have a feeling that October is going to be a little more prolific in terms of outfits. After all, I'm on a roll but also warmer weather is coming and that makes getting out of my PJs in the morning a lot more appealing!

A little bit of loliable crafting

Recently James and I got to spend some time with our eldest niece, and we did some beading together. I took the opportunity to string together a couple of bracelets in colours my lolita collection was missing, as well as make myself a big rainbow necklace!

My first bracelet, the purple/red/pearl one was to match Verrry Berry Picnic, since I don't have many purple accessories. Then I was on a roll and made the pink/purple/pearl one in a very similar way, since I often pair my purples with pink.

Since our niece was making herself some fun rainbow things, I also wanted to make a rainbow thing! It doesn't come up much here since it's not all that easy to work in with lolita, but I am a massive rainbow fiend. I have a little collection of rainbow goodies, and it was really nice to add something handmade to that.

The only downside of making these things is...now I want to make so many more bracelets!

AYWI30C #23: Using your most worn main piece

I was really excited when I got to this prompt, because I'm taking it as an opportunity to showcase my handmade cherry skirt in a more traditional lolita coord. This skirt is perfect for casual wear, which is how I most often wear it, but I really wanted to try something a little more "proper".

I mean, sure, to a lot of people this is still quite casual and I guess it is, but it's more "proper lolita" casual than casual casual, if you know what I mean ^__^

I decided to keep a lot of the elements in this coord quite "traditional", hence the big old headbow. But I couldn't resist sticking on a cherry clip as well...gotta keep on theme!

For the legwear I chose to go lighter rather than darker, same with the cutsew on top. Obviously you can't avoid black with a black main piece, but I did like pairing this skirt with some lighter and brighter options.

I kept the accessories very minimal, and I loved how perfectly this necklace sat under the collar of the cutsew! Unfortunately it's probably one of those things that wouldn't behave so neatly when actually worn, so let's just admire it in flatlay format.

This coord once again brought into sharp relief that I still down own a black lolita purse, and that is a sin and a shame. Fortunately, most of my black coords are really black x red (and berries, of course) where this Milky Berry tote works perfectly. Or they're black x pink and match my AP bag, or they're black and white so I whip our the big, old, much-abused BTSSB bag.  I don't really need a solely black bag, but I do want one!

This coord really rekindled my excited over this skirt. I've always loved it, but I do tend to wear it in very samey ways so it was nice to see a new potential in it ^__^
