At the moment I’m working my way through a challenge I came up with, Around Your Wardrobe in 30 Coordinates, which was designed with the idea of exploring all the coordination options you may have in your wardrobe. Before that I completed the Lolita 52, which is about your experience with lolita more generally. Then there’s still more challenges I haven’t turned my blogging eye towards; the Lifestyle Lolita 365, the 10 Day Lolita Challenge, and I’m sure I’m missing some more. What I’m trying to say is that there are already a lot of different prompt challenges out there and I really wanted to try and come up with something that didn’t re-tread the same topics.
So, after a while of wracking my brain, I thought – let’s make this a coordinate challenge (because hey, I’m me and I’d rather play with clothes) that’s all about you. This is a smaller challenge, with only five prompts in total, all determined by you…and when you were born!
The Lolita Birthday Challenge
1. Birth stone
2. Birth flower
3. Western zodiac sign
4. Chinese zodiac year
5. Pantone colorstrology
I’m actually excited to do this challenge myself! And I will…once I finish off Around Your Wardrobe in 30 Coordinates. So, for future reference I need to create coords for:
1. Opal
2. Marigold
3. Libra
4. Horse
5. Cerulean
This is going to be…interesting! Being me, I’m most likely going to do flatlays from my own wardrobe rather than collages. So it’s going to be a very real challenge (Marigolds are yellow and orange! Cerulean is blue! I don’t have things in these colours!) but honestly that's what's going to make it so fun. I'm also keen to maybe try my hand at some of the challenges by fellow bloggers have come up with. I think I'm going to have a lot of inspiration for this blog very soon.

This one sounds really cool! We definitely need more prompt challenges that are shorter, they're easier to get into. And with only five ones, maybe I'll manage to do it in the 5 days leading up to my birthday, which is in January? Very tempted to do it - though first I'd have to find out what my birth stone, flower and colorstrology are xD

DeleteI'll be honest, I just couldn't think of anything longer that wasn't re-treading common topics! But I do also like that it ended up short - some challenged, while awesome, are an insanely big commitment.

Omg, this challenge would be SOOO difficult for me, but I guess that's the point of a challenge. XD; It's definitely the more creative coord challenge I've seen! ^^
